Roots Nursery

Roots Nursery offers health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits to full-time employees who work 30+ hours per week and must have worked at the company for a minimum of 60 days before becoming eligible.

Position: Nursery Team Lead

Oversee all aspects of Roots Nursery's business operations. This includes everything from hiring and training employees to overseeing the growth of plants in the nursery’s fields or greenhouses. A plant nursery manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities.

Starting compensation is $50,000 a year but increases based on prior experience and is negotiable.

  • Collaborating with other professionals such as landscape architects, designers, nursery managers, and contractors.
  • Participating on hiring committees and recruiting new applicants
  • Managing employees by creating work schedules, setting priorities, and communicating assigned tasks
  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including wateringplants, fertilizing them, and monitoring insect and disease infestation
  • Overseeing operations of the nursery to ensure that it runs efficiently and profitable

A yard team member is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations outside of the designated office. They ensure that the facilities are well-maintained and organized.       Garden Center Sales Associate

      Victory Greens is a Stone and Garden Center located on the corner of Victory and Meridian Road. We have served the Treasure Valley since 1993. We are looking to fill a part-time sales position in our garden center. We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

      This individual would be responsible for answering customer questions, (both in person and over the phone), organizing and trimming shrubs, maintaining outstanding customer service, and generating sales.


      Job Qualifications and Experience:

      • Tree and Shrub knowledge
      • Experience/Degree in Horticulture

      Retail Garden Center Manager

      The Sun Valley Garden Center is Located in Bellevue, ID.  We service the Wood River Valley.  This includes the towns of Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey and Bellevue.  The Sun Valley Garden Center was established 35 years ago and was the Valley’s first retail garden center. We are looking to fill the RETAIL GARDEN CENTER MANAGER position. 

      We are looking for a self-motivated individual that is enthusiastic and energetic.  This individual would be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the Garden Center as well as the ordering and inventory management of the plant material and hard goods.  This individual’s attitude should create an environment that motivates and energizes staff and customers.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Seasonal ordering of plant material.
      • Seasonal ordering of garden supplies and hardscape products.
      • Hiring and supervising all retail employees.
      • Responsible for pricing all product.
      • Responsible for organizing and hosting special events.

      Job Qualifications and Experience.

      • College Degree.  Horticulture or Business a plus.

      • Back ground in USDA Zone 2-5 plant material a must.  Including bedding plants, perennials, shrubs and trees.

      • Prior Experience in the horticulture field.
      • Prior Experience in management.
      • Ability to work outside and lift over 25lbs.
